I reloaded all UEFI Defaults and then double checked all settings vs what they were. Upon further investigation and as a last resort to having to go back to the Virus Microsoft Created, I decided to take a venture into the UEFI to figure it out. At first I thought maybe the drive was the problem because everyone I read having this issue said they thought it was either graphics related or HDD Related. I have an OCZ Vertex 250gb SSD running in AHCI. Most notably after updating the system or doing anything which required extensive HDD times. With AHCI Sata Mode Enabled both Linux Mint 16 and Ubuntu 13.10 would freeze and lock up at random times. It runs an Asrock 970 Extreme3 AMD Version latest drivers and firmware. I had an issue with this board when I installed Linux Mint 16 Cinnamon on this PC. It is a device with an on/off play mode such that the graphical component of this tool gives you a chance to handle the processing functions with ease.I thought I would take a minute to help contribute to the Linux Mint community.
